Oyster Happy Hour

Every Monday The Press Room is offering two-for-the-price-of-one oysters. There are a variety of oysters to choose from including Gillardeau, Smokey Bay, Penn Cove and Kumamoto. 

Vivo's Set Lunch

While the economy maybe in bad shape and restaurants are struggling it is good news for diners as restaurants are introducing great specials to draw in the punters. Vivo has introduced a weekly lunch set menu of Italian fare, with two courses only $98 and three courses for $128.

Duck Confit Set

French restaurant Le Terrasse has introduced a duck confit set. The set includes Duck Leg Confit, Salad and Sauteed Potato; Dessert; and a glass of house Rose. It is available M-F for lunch ($180) and M-Th dinner ($240). The restaurant is also serving Gillaredau oysters for $25 each or six for $125, while stocks last. 

La Luna Opens

Quickly becoming the hottest spot for Spanish food is new opening La Luna. The restaurant serves classic and modern tapas and paella dishes, and a selection of mains. The kitchen is headed by talented chef Nathan Hogan (Azure, Santa Lucia), who spent time with notable Spanish chefs before launching the restaurant. 

A full review will be uploaded in April, but don't wait till then...the food is great! 

Mix and Match Afternoon Tea

Azure has introduced a mix and match afternoon tea, featuring 16 food options and 18 teas and coffees to choose from. For $138 per person or $258 for two, guests can choose eight of the following and have unlimited tea and coffee.  

Desserts: Profiterole, Cheese Cake, Chocolate Brownie, Tiramisu Cup, Strawberry Dip, Green Tea Crème Brulee, Mixed-fruit Tart, Truffle Chocolate; Crostini: Foie Gras Pate, Smoked Salmon; Roasted Capsicum with Goat Cheese; Crab Meat & Mango Salsa; Anchovy, Prosciutto, Cutie-burger, and Mini-pizza. 

Seasonal Japanese Fare

Inagiku Japanese Restaurant has introduced a new range of seasonal delights for spring. Available at lunch and dinner throughout the week, the new items include Kinmedai Fish Sakura Leaf Sushi, Shark's Fin served with Soba Noodles, Steamed Rice with Japanese Wagyu Beef and Avocado Tempura served with Miso Paste. To retain the subtle or unique tastes of the original ingredients, Chef Imai prepares these dishes with just a touch of seasoning.

Amber's Express Lunch

Amber has introduced a "60 minutes" three-course set lunch. The delicious-sounding menu offers a wide variety of options, including at least five starters, main courses and desserts. Vegetarian and restricted-diet options are available. The set lunch is priced at $518 per person. 

Va Bene's Lamb Menu

Va Bene will present gourmand favourite Quercy lamb throughout March on its prix fixe menu. The $448 menu will feature a line-up of options that include Fennel-flavoured Lamb Meatballs, Homemade Beetroot Gnocchi with Stewed Lamb, and Roasted Shoulder of Lamb rolled with Lardo di Colannata and Herbs
