Love the relaxing atmosphere and the polite service. Great place with a wide menu selection for everyone. The variety on the menu is excellent - Chinese, Indian, South East Asian, Pizzas, Japanese and Western and even a kids menu. Tthe Western dishes are better (such as the club sandwich and the burger) but the Hainan chicken rice and laksa are also recommended.

Afternoon tea
Beurrebeurre | Sep 20 2011
While many tai tai would choose the Clipper Lounge over here for afternoon tea, I actually prefer the setting here. What made this afternoon tea such a good experience was the first-rate service. Very friendly staff. In a relaxed atmosphere, they serve great sandwiches, pastries and scones with tea or coffee. Pretty much the same as Clipper Lounge but cheaper. Excellent rose petal jam. Perfect afternoon tea.

Packed at lunch but half empty at dinner - this coffee shop caters mainly to the workforce in Central. The menu is big but nothing really stands out. The Hainan chicken rice used to be famous but I feel that it is not as good as before. Everything else is quite ok.

All rounder
Andy | Aug 23 2010
Such a great all-rounder, as they have all kinds of things on the international menu. So if one person wants nasi goring, another wants trad Chinese wonton soup, and someone else a pizza, you’ll find them all here. Price is decent, considering you’re in a 5 star hotel. Make sure you swing by the cake shop on the way out and indulge!

Best cheesecake
ANMH | Aug 13 2010
One of the most renowned hotels in HK, Cafe Causette has always had a special position in my heart. From the sandwiches, pastries to a cappucino, everything is so perfect. Their signature cheesecake is heavy and loaded with cheeseyness; one without a crust base. Definitely one of the best in town.
Their sandwiches and fruit tarts are also very tasty. Definitely worth a try if you are around the corner!- How much did you spend?

An all encompassing menu

Enticing cake display draws me in every time. It is still famous for its Haianese chicken rice, which I order every time without fail.
