What do you like most about the website?
With shorter attention spans and busy time schedules these days, the homepage of websites now are so important. Many try to pile everything there but a "busy" homepage is not good either. WOMguide manages to squeeze in the pertinent but lay it out in a manner which is easy for the reader to scan through and still not be dizzy from it! So well done there.
Which restaurant is your favourite?
I'm not sure if I have an absolute favourite! The beauty of HK is that there is so much variety and decent quality food at every price point. I have shortlists for every category or cuisine I fancy and depending on the occasion, be it entertaining big wigs, old friends, or just enjoying a quiet meal.
Which restaurant would you recommend for a romantic occasion?
I like Pierre. High enough to have great views in the evenings especially on a clear night. Also, it's nice to have tables spread out from each other in HK since real estate is so scarce and pricey, so you don't have to listen to the next table's conversation! The food is also awesome and certainly did not disappoint. It's high end but not so 'fru-fru' as to be eating air. So you leave very satisfied as well. But at those price points, unfortunately it is only reserved for really special occasions or corporate-account big-wig entertainment options.
Where did you have dinner last night and what did you eat?
Last night, I flew in from Shanghai and landed in HK past 8pm. So I wanted something light and went for Japanese at Sushi Sawa, something I had chanced upon in an article. It was my first time, and the manager was nice enough to recommend some of their favourites. It's by no means a "wow!" but it hit the spot since I had Shanghainese (which can be heavy, two nights in a row). But for the price point it's not a bad option if you're in the CWB area. You can look out for the review on edeats.blogspot.com or catch it on WOMguide!
If tonight's dinner was your last on Earth what would you eat?
In an ideal situation, you always want to head home. So Maternal Grandma's "old-fire" soups and late Paternal Grandma's "braised duck". Aside from being most satisfied with the food, it would most certainly bring a tear to my eye and a smile on my face - a lovely way to go.
