Dominik Becker has been a fan of WOM guide since 2006, and has been an active "wommer" since 2008. He often submits his reviews, and has been the winner of our weekly competition to win $500 for writing restaurant reviews. He tells us about his love for Cantonese food and his return to his roots for his last meal.
What is your favourite cuisine?
I have a few: Italian, Japanese and Szechuan. Although I have become a big Cantonese Yum Cha fan since arriving in Hong Kong.
Which restaurant would you recommend for a business meeting?
La Pampa or any high-end sushi place in town.
Which restaurant do you recommend to friends most and why?
Dim Sum in Happy Valley followed by dessert afterwards at Lotus Garden, next door. In my humble opinion it is a great Hong Kong food experience.
Where did you have dinner last night and what did you eat?
Benson Cuisine & Wine. I had Oysters, Iberico Ham and Pasta.
If tonight's dinner was your last on Earth what would you eat?
A German Schnitzel "Frankfurt Style". It is a breaded veal Schnitzel with a green herb sauce, with fried potatoes and a green salad. Apple Crumble tart for dessert. With it lots of Frankfurt "Ebbelwoi" - a local wine made from apples.
