How often do you consult WOMguide.com when selecting places to eat?

I use WOM mostly when I need dining ideas for special occasions. WOM provides a comprehensive guide for high quality restaurants in Hong Kong. I also check WOM regularly for restaurant openings.

If you could only eat one cuisine for the rest of your life, which cuisine would you pick?

Japanese is my definite choice. I would love to eat sushi and teppanyaki every other day for the rest of my life if I can afford it. A nice sushi melts in your mouth with a long-lasting aftertaste. It feels like heaven on earth.

Which restaurant in Hong Kong is your favourite for enjoying the above cuisine?

In my opinion, sushi in Senryo is second to none. First of all, I love the honest pricing of sushi in Senryo; walking out with a full stomach from the restaurant doesn't get one bankrupt. Secondly, the quality of the sushi tops other sushi chain by a clear mile. I discover new kinds of sushi every now and then, and I particularly enjoy flounder sushi and sujiko sushi, which I can only find in Senryo.

If you had a foodie friend visit you in Hong Kong for the first time where would you take them to eat?

Steakhouse at Intercontinental Hotel is one of my favourite restaurants. All food is served at its best. The manager of this restaurant flies to the U.S. every month to ensure all steaks are dry-aged to the perfect condition. If the food is not enticing enough, you can always have some fun choosing one of nine cutting knives from all over the world or mix and match eight different salts. If that is still not enough, there are 15 different mustards available to go with your steak.

Senryo. As mentioned above

Heichinrou (聘珍樓) ﹣It serves the best and healthiest dim sum. All dim sum in Heichinrou do not contain any preservatives or artificial colorings. I don't have a particular preference in dim sum but in general I think they bring dim sum to a really high standard.<br />What is your favourite comfort food and where do you go for it?

Tell me about your last memorable meal and what made it so memorable.

Last Christmas, I paid a visit to One-thirtyone in Sai Kung. After an enjoyable drive to the restaurant (very remote location!), the scenery from the restaurant that welcomed us upon arrival was very calming and exotic. With a clear sky and sunset, it was one of the most romantic nights I have experienced so far. The restaurant only served six tables that night and each table was served with a pre-ordered tasting menu. We had oyster with champagne jelly, foie-gras terrine with black truffle and port caviar served on brioche toast, scallop and duck confit. I wouldn't say it was the best French cuisine I have had., but it was definitely one of the most exotic experiences I have had in Hong Kong.
