Pier 7 Opens
Igor’s Group recently opened Pier 7, a 2,000sq ft cafe and bar on top of Star Ferry’s Central Pier 7. The bar features an alfresco area, and serves an extensive range of wine, cocktails, beers and non-alcoholic drinks.
Breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea are also available. The lunch buffet includes salad bar and carvery station with a regular coffee or tea at only $98 per person, and is available on Monday to Friday, 12-2:30pm.
White Truffles @ H One
White truffles are on the menu for a seasonal gourmet promotion at H One throughout November.
The delicacy will be featured in appetisers such as Italian Scrambled Eggs, White Asparagus and Italian Forest Mushroom Ragout; Pan-fried Goose Liver with Mango Chutney; and Poached Maine Lobster with Jerusalem Artichoke Puree.
They will also complement main course choices such as Home-made Tagliolini with Parmesan, Parma-style Carnaroli Risotto, Sardinian Sea Bass Carpaccio with Celery and Porcini Mushroom Salad, and Wagyu Beef Tartare with Italian Fried Egg.
Vietnamese @ Langham Place
Vietnamese chef Lan will unveil some of her favourite home-style recipes this November during Langham Place's special ‘Flavours of Vietnam’ promotion.
Fans of the cuisine will be treated to some of Lan’s favourite generational dishes including Spicy and Sour Soup, Roast Beef with Rice Vermicelli, and Sugar Cane wrapped with Minced Shrimp.
Lan’s Vietnamese dishes are all available at The Place’s lunch and dinner buffet and are in addition to the regular selection. Anyone who enjoys the buffet during the ‘Flavours of Vietnam’ promotion will also enter the draw to win a private dinner for six hosted by chef Lan in the hotel's penthouse suite.
Free Champagne Brunch
Popular restaurant Yamm has introduced a 'Bubbles and Beyond' Sunday Brunch. Guests can enjoy a superb brunch with unlimited free flowing Taittinger champagne, wines, drafted beers, fresh juices and soft drinks along with a freshly baked bread basket and forever changing dips.
The extensive buffet includes live cooking stations serving la minute Japanese specialties, Asian and International favourites, with table service. Seafood is still the gem of the buffet and includes freshly shucked oysters, King Crabs and lobster.
The Sunday brunch is priced at $650 per person and is available from 11.30-3pm.
Zuma's Afternoon Tea
Japanese-style afternoon tea is now being served at Zuma with snack platters (including a choice of teas or coffee) priced at $90 from 3-6pm daily.
Six different snacks are on the menu of the Otsumami afternoon tea concept designed for weary shoppers or for a quiet meeting away from the office.
The Aomono platter offers a selection of small salads whilst the Sushi Moriawase selection offers a combination platter of nigri, maki sushi, tamago and pickles.
Savoury options on the Robatayaki and Tempura platters are vegetable, prawn and fish tempura and robatayaki charcoal-grilled skewers of meat, seafood and vegetables.
For the sweet-tooth, the Deza platter tempts guests with a selection of biscuits and cakes, and Aisukari-Mu is a mix of Zuma’s home-made sorbets and ice creams.
Aspasia's Truffle Menu
Aspasia is celebrating the annual white truffle season with a bespoke menu of delicately designed dishes that are available until November 21.
Dishes include Creamy Scrambled Eggs with Mushroom Juice and White Truffle and Egg in Raviolo with Ricotta Cheese, Spinach and White Truffle.
The restaurant is also offering a five-course tasting menu priced at $1,880 per person, and all dishes are also available a la carte. The tasting menu commences with Scallop Carpaccio with Fennel, Parma Ham and White Truffle followed by Home-Made Tagliolini with Parmesan, Butter and White Truffle. Next is Roasted Supreme of Pheasant on Pistachios Gnocchi with White Truffle followed by Wagyu Beef Fillet, Truffle Mashed Potato, Barolo Wine and Foie Gras Sauce with White Truffle. Dessert is White Truffle Ice-Cream on Hazelnut Meringue with Vanilla Foam and White Truffle.
Smokehouse Comfort Foods
Coyote Bar & Grill and Caramba have launched an “Authentic Smokehouse Style Comfort Foods” menu. These new menu items have a powerful kick of Chipotle, Mesquite and Old Hickory flavours created through the in-house smokehouse cooking and preparation methods. The food is slow-cooked over low temperature with constant basting to ensure tender results.
Dishes include Texas Roadhouse BBQ Beef Mini Tacos, Smokehouse BBQ Baby Back Ribs, Grilled Game Hen with Smoked Chipotle Sauce, and Mesquite Smoked Salmon with Blue Crab Butter Sauce.
Cafe Siam's Crab Month
Cafe Siam has introduced an exotic array of Thai-style Crab specialties that will be available until the end of November.
Indulge in Meang Poo Nim (deep-fried soft shell crab salad wrapped in fresh Betel leaves with chopped ginger, shallots, cashews, lime leaves and chilli), Poo Nim Salad (deep-fried soft shell crab salad with fresh green mango, green papaya, carrots, onions and lime dressing), Poo Pad Phong Gari (cracked whole crab in a mild curry sauce), Poo Neung Sauce Tom Yum (steamed red crab with tom yum sauce), Poo Pad Prik Tai Dum (deep-fried whole crab with fresh peppercorns, black pepper, garlic and chillies), and Poo Pad Prik Pao (cracked whole crab fried with chilli paste and sweet basil).
