La Fourchette's Prix Fixe Menu
La Fourchette has introduced a fixed price dinner menu that is available until the end of February (except 14 February). Choose any two dishes for $168 or three dishes for $218. This represents good value for money as many of the main dishes are over $160 per dish.
Valentine's Dinner at Harlan’s
Harlan’s is serving a tasty-sounding Valentine's dinner priced at $980 per person for six courses. The gastronomic dinner starts with Slow Cooked Wild Salmon Trout with Caviar, and Butter-Poached Scampi. Wood-Stone Roasted French Quail stuffed with Foie Gras, Chorizo Carpaccio and Savoy Cabbage follows. Next is a Yuzu Vodka Sorbet. Main course is a choice of Herb-Roasted Wagyu Lamb Rib with Lamb Osso Bucco Cake and Truffle Jus or Slow-Roasted Spanish Pork Loin with Olive, Capers, Soft Polenta and Cider Reduction. Dessert is Raspberry Mousse Cake with Mixed Berries Compote, served with coffee or tea.
Yamm's International Afternoon Tea
Yamm has introduced a multi-country afternoon tea including a choice of Asian Delight, Japanese, American or Traditional European. The afternoon tea options are also served with a dessert buffet including more than 15 “designer” cakes. There is also a choice of 20 teas.
Asian Delight -- Indian Samosa, Vietnamese Fresh Spring Rolls & Sugarcane Prawn, Indonesian Satay, Thai Fried Fish Cake & Pandan Chicken; Japanese Tea Set -- Salmon, Tuna Sushi, Soft Shell Crab and Avocado Maki, California Roll, Tempura Udon; American Tea Set -- Grilled Ham and Cheese Sandwich, Mini Cheese Burger and Mini Hotdog, French Fries; and European Tea Set -- Air-Dried Ham Sandwich, Tomato & Garlic Baguette, Smoked Salmon & Cream Cheese Roll, English Scone.
Afternoon tea is priced at $198 adults and $158 children (4-11years old). For those that wish to enjoy the dessert buffet only it is priced at $138 adults and $98 children. Afternoon tea is served daily from 3-5pm.
H One's Sunday Evening Buffet
H One has introduced a decadent new Sunday evening buffet featuring premium seafood, prime roasts and grills, home-made pastas, cold cuts and organic salads, soups and desserts; priced at $488. To launch the promotion, four guests are only charged for the price of three until the end of February, pricing the deal at just $366 per person.
Included in the dinner is a selection of cooked to order main courses from the Texas charcoal grill and wood-stone oven including super prime US beef, Tasmanian lamb rack, Italian baby pig, Milan-style ossobuco, veal escalope, French spring chicken, Pacific tiger king prawn and jet-fresh fish of the day.
Children between 4-11 are charged $288 per child.
Nadaman Serving Seasonal Yellow Tail
Nadaman is currently showcasing special dishes using tennen kan buri (wild yellow tail), freshly flown in from Japan. Available only in mid-winter, wild yellow tail is the largest in the yellow tail family, known for its balance of fat content and best served as sashimi or teriyaki. The wild yellow tail items will be available until 8 February.
The Pawn's Rose Garden
The Pawn will transform its roof garden into a rose garden on Valentine's Evening. The cost for the evening is $1,888 per couple and includes a selection of seafood, carvery, desserts, plus two glasses of champagne. Entertainment will be provided by jazz singer David Raleigh from New York. Spaces are limited so reservations are recommended.
Amber Introduces Saturday Wine Lunch
Amber has introduced a Saturday Wine Lunch that will feature a sumptuous five-course menu by chef Richard Ekkebus, paired with unique wines recommended by the restaurant's head sommelier Patrick Frawley. Frawley will introduce wines from both the old and new world, many from exclusive wine regions and wineries which are new to Hong Kong palates. The wine pairing will comprise of four wines, including an aperitif of champagne, followed by a choice of white, red and dessert wines. The cost is $460 per person without wines or $648 with four wines.
Gagnaire's Five Senses Menu
Pierre Gagnaire makes his first visit to Hong Kong for 2009 from 16-22 February and will be introducing a new menu and a new concept. Based entirely around the five senses, his six-course tasting menu explores the boundaries of taste, touch, sight, sound and smell. For example from the Sight and Smell section: Red Jelly; Vegetable Root Cream. White Veloute; Foie Gras Ravioli with Confit Lemon. Paprika Powder. Black Truffle Bouillon; Stuffed Lettuce Cod Brandade. And from Taste: Tarragon and Bresse Poularde Terrine; Green Pearled Barley, Sliced Turnips with Banyuls. Grated Daikon, Freneuse Infusion.
The menu is priced at $1,688 per person and bookings are recommended.
