Angelini's Sunday Pranzo
Angelini has introduced a Sunday lunch which features a buffet of Italian antipasti, salads, soup and home-made desserts based on chef Vittorio Lucariello's mother's recipes, plus a selection of seafood. There is also a choice of mains based on the chef's signature dishes from different regions in Italy. The lunch or pranzo is available every Sunday from noon to 3pm and is complemented with free-flowing Prosecco sparkling wine, fruit juices and one glass of limoncello.

The main courses will be changed on a regular basis and the current selection includes  Linguine with Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Shrimp, Garlic and Chilli Peppers from Sardinia; Spinosini with Calamari Ragu from Marche; Roasted Sea Bass with Herb Sauce from Sicily; Mixed Seafood in Spicy Tomato Broth with Grilled Bread from Campania; Oven Baked Lamb Rack with Crispy Polenta from Lazio; Grilled Rosemary Chicken with Roasted Potatoes from Piedmont and Roast Leg of Lamb from Tuscany.

The lunch is priced at $438 per person.

A Gourmand's Valentine's
Chef Luciano Parolari from Villa d'Este, one of Lake Como's top restaurants, presents a full menu of Italian classics in The Chinnery (Mandarin Oriental) from 10-14 February. The "King of Risotto" will also host a cooking class for 12 people on Saturday 14 February. The cooking class is priced at $988 per person and makes a great Valentine's gift for gourmands. Purgatory Pizza
While many people have lost their sense of humor due to the current economic climate one pizza place has retained its. Chicago-based Purgatory Pizza's advertising slogan is "if you don't like our pizza, go to hell"! In addition to a memorable slogan the pizza joint distinguishes itself by using beer instead of water in its pizza base, a combination of 6 cheeses in the topping and amusing pizza names such as Temperance and Restraint. The moral: for success stand out from the crowd, and make sure the food is good too.

Hutong's Best of Best Menu
To celebrate its one-star Michelin rating northern Chinese restaurant, Hutong, has announced an exclusive celebratory menu of signature dishes, suitably named the "Best of the Best", available until the end of March.

The menu can be enjoyed on its own for $880, or as a fine wine and champagne pairing menu for an additional $420 per person.

Some of the signature dishes on the menu are Crispy De-Boned Lamb Ribs; Crystal King Prawns with Salty Egg Yolk & Crab Roe, Bamboo Clams steeped in Chinese Rose Wine & Chili Padi, Young Asparagus Shoots dipped in a Spicy Sesame Crust, and Crispy Soft Shell Crabs with Szechuan Pepper.

Mira's Memorable Valentine's  
The Mira is doing its best to ensure that Valentine's Day is a memorable one for couples. Any couple dining in the hotel that evening will have a professional photographer take their picture as a souvenir. In addition, if you book between 1-12 February you can send in a video love message, or record it at Room One Bar & Lounge. Messages will be played at Room One Bar & Lounge on the 14th after 10pm and the authors of the Best Messages will win the following:1st Prize -- 1 set of man and woman watches, sponsored by Charmonde, worth HK$8,155; 2nd prize -- one night stay at The Mira; 3rd prize -- a coupon for lunch for two at Yamm; and 4th-10th prize: a style card for Room One Bar & Lounge.

It is also offering a great deal on an overnight stay on the 14th. The package includes:
one night stay at The Mira's City Room with choice of Red, Green or Silver; Valentine's welcoming treats; $1,000 in-room dining privileges; in-room breakfast or breakfast buffet at Yamm for two; 3pm checkout; special supplement of $800 for Mira Suite 70; and complimentary use of the fitness center and in-door swimming pool. The package is priced at $2,388.

Caviar Kaspia in HK
Renowned Parisian restaurant and gourmet boutique Caviar Kaspia opened its first branch outside Europe last month when it opened in The Landmark. As the name suggest the focus is on caviar, with nine varieties available (both wild and farmed), including wild Sevruga, Oscietre and Beluga. The small menu also features other luxury items such as smoked fish, Iberico ham, king crab, foie gras and more. Caviar Kaspia has both dine-in and take-out options and is also available for catering or wholesale sales.

Morton's for Fireworks
Morton's of Chicago is recommending early reservations for its ‘ringside seat' for Chinese New Year fireworks on 27 January. Located on the 4th floor of the Sheraton Hotel the restaurant has a good view of the harbour. Unlike many restaurants, Morton's is allowing diners to order from the a la carte menu on this night. Signatures include Single Cut Filet Mignon, Filet Oskar with Asparagus and Jumbo Lump Crabmeat, Broiled Salmon Fillet and West Australian Lobster Tail; signature desserts are Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake and New York Cheesecake.

Pen-Ultimate Romance
If you really want to impress this Valentine's and have a spare $50,000 go for The Peninsula's Pen-Ultimate Package.

The package includes:
