All-You-Can-Eat French Dinner
Until the end of the month, French restaurant La Brasserie, is providing an “All-You-Can-Eat” dinner, featuring more than 30 sumptuous appetisers, soups, main course and desserts.
The feast starts with an appetiser selection that includes Duck Terrine with Walnut, Corn Bread and Apple Chutney; Escargot in Garlic Butter Sauce; Goat Cheese Mousse in Parma Ham, Sweet Pepper Sauce; Marinated Salmon with Honey Mustard Dressing; Beef Tartar with Pesto Sauce and Toast; Crab Salad with Papaya and Avocado Dressing and Tuna Tartar with Lemon Dressing and Parmesan Crisp.

Among the variety of soups on the menu are Vegetable and Pesto Soup with Parmesan Cheese; Clam Chowder in White Sauce and Tomato Fish Soup with Aioli and Crouton. Mains include Braise Pigeon with Black Olive and Garlic Sauce; Beef Cheek Cooked in Red Wine Sauce with Carrots; Duck Leg Parmentier with Mushroom Sauce; Seared Scallops on Vegetable Capers Sauce; Base Fillet with Herb Crust, Ratatouille and Aioli Sauce; Seared Salmon on Lobster Cream Risotto and many more.
Finally, capping this truly hearty meal is a selection of desserts including Chocolate Opera Cake with Vanilla Sauce; Coconut Crème Brulee with Vanilla Sugar; Chocolate Mousse Choux Puff with Orange Sauce; Apple Tart Tatin with Caramel Sauce and Poached Pear in Red Wine with Vanilla Ice Cream.
The All-You-Can-Eat Dinner at La Brasserie is available from 6.30-11pm and is priced at only $398 per person.
Italian Sundays
Italian restaurant GVSTO is now open on Sundays. From 9-11am it will serve a breakfast buffet priced at $98 per head, from 11.30-3.30 a buffet will serve regional Italian dishes (priced at $220) and from 4-6pm diners can enjoy an afternoon tea buffet for $120 per person.
Champagne Brunch
Cafe Deco has just introduced a Champagne Sunday Brunch featuring Billecart-Salmon Brut Reserve, priced at $498. Children are catered to with a child entertainer, and fun and educational games, plus unlimited soft drinks for $198.
Cool Summer Sets
One Bar has introduced new set lunch menus for the summer. Available from 11.30-3pm the light and refreshing sets include Chilled Korean Beef and Buckwheat Noodle, Kyoto Bento, and Summer Bibimbap Rice; sets are priced from $98 to $138.
Early Bird Thai
Box Thai has launched an early bird dinner special from 6-7pm. For $88 you can choose one dish and one standard drink.
Morton's the Cookbook
While you may not be able to create the ambiance that makes Morton’s of Chicago famous around the world, you can now recreate many of its most famous recipes. A new cookbook, Morton’s The Cookbook: 100 Steakhouse Recipes for Every Kitchen shows you how. Authored by Klaus Fritsch, co-founder of Morton’s of Chicago, with Morton’s VP of Wine & Spirits Tylor Field, and Mary Goodbody, nationally known food writer and cookbook editor, Morton’s The Cookbook features over 100 recipes. Each recipe is illustrated with full-colour photography throughout.
The book can be purchased from www.mortons.com and at all Morton’s restaurant worldwide, priced at HK$295. Part of the proceeds are being donated to the charity Feeding America.
Manta Ray's New Chef
DB's Manta Ray restaurant has a new culinary direction with the appointment of Gregory Arbib. Arbib has over 20 years experience and has worked in a number of Michelin-starred restaurants in France.
