Pub Grub Lunch
Traditional British pub fare may now be enjoyed at lunch in The Royal Garden's Martini Bar. The new lunch buffet is served from 12 noon to 2:30pm and costs $128 per person. For this, diners may enjoy appetisers, a daily soup, a choice of carvings, main courses, desserts and coffee or tea. Chef's recommendations include ‘London Particular' thick split pea and ham soup, traditional fish pie, Irish stew, chicken korma with basmati rice and of course ‘bangers & mash' with onion gravy and Yorkshire pudding. Bread & butter pudding and sherry & berry trifle are on the menu, too.

Perigord Truffles
Starting from 6 January Hotel Nikko Hongkong's Café Serena is presenting a selection of dishes incorporating black truffles from Perigord, France.

The buffet starts with a selection of appetisers such as Poached Chicken Bologna with Black Truffle, Shrimp and Black Truffle Gelatin in glass, Baby Asparagus Mimosa with Black Truffle, Wild Mushroom Terrine with Black Truffle plus many more. On the Teppanyaki counter are such dishes made for a-la-minute including Pan-fried Foie Gras with Black Truffle and Grilled US Beef Cubes with Spleen Mushroom and Black Truffle. Other recommendations include Baked Scallop Thermidor with Black Truffle, Veal Emince with Black Truffle and Seared Sole and Parma Ham Roll with Black Truffle. To complete the meal try the Chocolate Truffle Cream.

New HK Wines from Jacob's Creek
Australian wine maker Jacob's Creek has recently expanded its offerings in Hong Kong by introducing two lines: Sparkling Moscato and the Regional Reserve collection. The new Moscato Sparkling and Moscato Sparkling Rosé although only just available in Hong Kong has already won a host of awards at wine shows throughout Australia. These light, sweet wines use Muscat grapes that are picked cool in the night, and fermented in separate batches. The result is two bottles, each with fruity aromas; a delicate, sweet taste; and a complexity that gives the wines a long, drawn-out finish on the tongue. These wines will be available exclusively in Wellcome.

The new Reserve wines are expressed through both regional and varietal differences, making them truly unique bottles with depth, complexity and individual personalities.
