Japanese Seduction

Hotel Nikko Hongkong's Lobby Lounge now has a new afternoon tea buffet featuring cooked-to-order sushi, tempura and robatayaki overseen by a Japanese master chef. At the centre of the buffet is an array of jet-fresh sushi varieties such as salmon, red snapper, tuna, surf clam, crab roe, sweet shrimp and California rolls - all made a-la-minute. There is also a robatayaki counter and recommendations include ox tongue, pork chuck, chicken and mixed vegetable skewers. Also on the cooked-to-order list is prawn tempura.

For noodles buffs, there's a dedicated noodles station offering Sapporo Ramen in show cooking style, while the refreshing Japanese soba noodles are on the menu too. Other recommended items include grilled salmon head marinated with soya sauce and Japanese eel pizza. 

The new afternoon tea buffet is available from 3:00pm to 5:00pm on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays at $198 per adult and $158 per child. 

Edible Arrangements for Summer

Hong Kong Edible Arrangements (348 Nathan Road), has introduced a range of edible arrangements made from a wide variety of fruits arranged to look like floral displays, which are perfect for summer. The company says the arrangements are perfect for junk trips, BBQs, beach parties or just any occasion. 

The company can provide bouquets for just about any occasion-bridal showers, weddings, anniversaries, baby showers, birthdays, and more. 

Suhang Promotion

Yat Tung Heen has introduced a range of new dishes for its Suhang cuisine promotion. From homey treats such as Baked Chicken with Chinese Black Mushroom and PreservedVegetables Wrapped with Lotus Leaves and Deep-Fried Whole Garoupa in Sweet and Sour Sauce, to Stewed Abalone Accompanied with Bamboo Pith stuffed with Kale and Poached Goose in Salty Water.

There is also a  Suhang Specialities Tasting Menu priced at  $488 per person with a minimum of 2 persons. 

Cucina's Sunday Brunch

Cucina's Sunday Brunch offers a lavish and refreshing buffet spread set plus an all-you-can-eat petite hot main dish menu complete with harbour view and herb garden. 

Opt for the full brunch buffet featuring a selection that includes Chilled seafood; Freshly shucked oysters; Italian charcuterie and cheese; Antipasti; and a wide spread of fresh salad selection with dressings and condiments.  Assorted home-made dim sum and pizzas.

More than ten petite hot main dishes from both the Italian and Chinese kitchens are also freshly prepared to order. These all-you-can-eat dishes include Scrambled eggs with mascarpone cheese and shaved bottarga; Fried eggs with tomatoes and bacon; Grilled sole fillet with lemon and aioli; Braised tofu with vegetables and abalone sauce; Poached sea snails with ginger sauce; and Deep-fried pork ribs with Peking sauce, to name a few.

Then, indulge in a variety of desserts - Home-style baked tarts, mousses and puddings; Macaroons; Cookies; Homemade marshmallows; Seasonal fresh fruits, and the list goes on.

Priced at $318 per adult and $168 per child. For an additional $100 adults can enjoy free flow house wine, juices and soft drinks, or add $200 for free flow champagne. The brunch is available every Sunday from 11.30am until 2.30pm.

Set Lunch, Dinner, Brunch @ Busy Suzie

Busy Suzie has just introduced a new Weekend Brunch Buffet available every Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Available from 12 noon to 3pm (2:30pm last order) and priced at $350 per adult and $160 child under 11 years old. The buffet includes Marinated abalone (per person), Sushi and sashimi platter, and Brunch Buffet selections. Brunch buffet selections feature starters including favourites such as Edamame, Fish nanbanzuke, Crab roe salad, Green salad with sesame sauce Ray Fin, Stewed fish head, and Duck breast fillet. Follow this with Robatayaki Meat and Seafood dishes from a wide selection that includes Beef tenderloin, Chicken teriyaki, Chicken wings, Pork fillet, Minced pork sausage, Prawns, Oysters, Silver cod, Squid, Salmon and more. Further choices include Tempura selections and fresh robatayaki Vegetable selections. Completing the Weekend Brunch experience are sweet Dessert choices ranging from Black sesame milk pudding, Ice cream (Black sesame, green tea or red beans), Rice cake with red beans, and Yuzu Jelly.

The popularity of the restaurant has initiated chef Tonoyama Mitsuo to design two new Summer Dinner Set menus. Suzie's Secret, priced at only $450 per person, presents diners with the freshest Hokkaido King Crab Fillet Salad to start and Robatayaki Assorted Four Kinds of Vegetable (Asparagus, Pumpkin, Shiitake Mushroom, Zucchini). Followed by Salmon Fillet, Grilled Minced Pork Sausage, a choice of Kochi Quail Eggs, Beef tongue or Kagoshima Chicken Wings. Next comes Chicken Teriyaki and a choice of Seafood Fried Rice, Grilled Rice Ball or Soba noodle, followed by Homemade Yuzu Jelly.

Samurai's Feast features a more extravagant menu at $580 per person, commencing with freshly made Sashimi Salad, and Hokkaido King Crab Tempura. This is followed by Robatayaki Assortment of Four Kinds of Vegetables (Asparagus, Sweet Potato, Shiitake Mushroom, Zucchini), Eel Fillet, Australian Wagyu M6 Beef Sirloin and a choice of Kochi Quail Eggs, Beef tongue or Kagoshima Chicken Wings. Hokkaido King Crab Legs and Chicken Teriyaki finished off the main course. Diners can complete the meal with a choice Sea Urchin Fried Rice or Rice Ball followed by Homemade Japanese Ice cream.

Finally comes the set lunch featuring prime Australian Wagyu beef tenderloin, seafood and light vegetarian options, with menus ranging in price from $98 to $250.  

Private Room Dining

Santa Lucia Restaurant & Sky Bar is offering an exclusive package with a one-of-a-kind tasting menu in the confines of a Private Room with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Victoria Harbour. For additional privacy, you can draw the curtains to create a more secluded setting, away from other diners.  The package comes with a six-course tasting menu complemented with wine matching for each course for $988 per person including wines or $688 without wine.
