Black Truffle Dishes 

Based on the great success of the black truffle dishes last year, the chefs of Caprice, Lung King Heen and The Lounge have come up with creative dishes matching seasonal ingredients with the southern hemisphere winter truffles for guests to enjoy from 1 July. Caprice will serve  a la carte black truffle items including Black Truffle Tart with Fondant Tomato and Aged Parmesan Emulsion; Creamy Taglierini Pasta with Australian Black Truffle, Green Asparagus, and Chicken Sot-l'y-laisse; and Scottish Salmon Paillard with Black Truffle Mashed Potato and Fresh Herb Shoots.  Lung King Heen will serve dim sum items featuring the truffles, such as Crispy Shrimp Dumplings with Black Truffle and a la carte items Stir-Fried Lobster with Black Truffle and Egg Whites. The Lounge will feature truffles in a number of menu items, including French Heirloom Tomatoes with Organic Mixed Greens, Bell Pepper, Black Truffle and Balsamic Dressing; Black Truffle Risotto with Pan-Seared Scallops; and Slow-Cooked Beef Short Rib and U.S. Beef Sirloin with Black Truffle Potato Mash

Cucina's Tapas Happy Hour

Cucina has introduced a new happy hour promotion. From 6 to 8 every evening, enjoy a special 2-for-1 offer on all drinks with a complimentary serving of Stuzzichini, Italian 'tapas', or Siu Sek - savoury Chinese 'tapas'. The restaurant has more than 40 wines by the glass and a selection of creative cocktails.

Cucina's tapas selection includes Parma Ham, Pickled Rock Melon, Alberodolce Olive Oil Powder and Arugula; Roasted Eggplant Bruschetta, Grilled Zucchini, Marinated Tomato; Coppa Ham, Mortadella, Salami, Parmigiano Reggiano and Mustard Fruit; Eggplant, San Marzano Tomato, Grana Padano Cheese and Oregano Crumbs; Crispy Squid with Spicy Salt Flakes and Lemon; Bean Curd Skin Rolls with Shrimp and X.O. Sauce; Chilli Dumplings with Chive and Soya, and Crispy Chicken Wings with Pancakes.

RED SoHo to Open

PURE Dining is expanding its presence to the other side of Central with the opening of RED SoHo on July 10. Located on the second floor of Kinwick Centre on Hollywood Road - a space previously occupied by Pure Fitness - RED SoHo brings a relaxed New York-Style restaurant and bar to the area. The restaurant seats 120, with private dining room for up to 20 and a back bar.

The restaurant said its eclectic menu has a focus on "World Fusion" with a distinct American influence. Unlike its LA-Style, health-conscious sister in ifc, RED SoHo, serves New York style portions, many of which are specifically created for family-style sharing. Signature dishes include King Scallop Ceviche; Asparagus Panzanella Salad; Beet Apple Frisee Gorgonzola Salad; Hero Sandwiches; Truffled Mac and Cheese; Buttermilk Fried Chicken; New York Strip Steak; Cote de Boeuff; Italian Sausage and Mixed Pepper Pizza; Hebrew National Hotdogs; New York Cheesecake, and Strawberry Shortcake.

Yagura's Sunday Brunch

Starting this Sunday Yagura will launch a Seafood Sunday Brunch priced at only $350 per person. Customers can enjoy an array of seafood plus free flow Sapporo and Yagura's own label sake - The Hidden Oasis. Apart from enjoying various seafood starters, grilled and fried items, salad and cold dishes, customers can also try out the signature Creative Sushi Rolls created by Chef Nagano, which are unique to Yagura.  In addition customers can choose one main course and dessert. Yagura will also give out complimentary sashimi and sushi to each customer.

Yamm's Weekend Afternoon Tea

Yamm swings into summer with its new Weekend Afternoon Tea Buffet, starting from this weekend, priced at $188 per person for adults and $148 for children.

The Weekend Afternoon Tea Buffet showcases a selection of favourites from Yamm's award-winning buffet spreads. Tasty titbits are the order of the day in the Sandwich Corner, featuring the Baguette with Foie Gras, Parma Ham and Grape Salsa; Pita Bread with Wagyu Beef Chunk, Onion, Pickled Cucumber and Korean Sauce; Bavarian Dark Rye Finger Sandwich with Shrimp and Wasabi Mayonnaise; and the Mediterranean Finger Sandwich with Scrambled Egg, Black Truffle and Gruyere Cheese. The Japanese Corner offers a tasty signature selection of California Maki, Ebi Tempura Maki; with additional hot dishes including Lobster Spring Roll, Yakitori Cuttlefish Balls, Deep-fried Prawns with Basil, as well as select Chinese Dim Sum.  

For those with a sweet tooth, there are over 20 desserts, including St. Dominque Ganache Cake; Raspberry Delight; Streusel Tea Cake; Chocolate Banana Tart; Earl Grey Tea Cake; Mont Blanc; Raisin Scones; Apple Crumble; hot Apple and Blackberry Pudding; hot Chocolate Mud Cake; White Peach Gelee and a selection of homemade ice creams.
