The restaurant will offer diners a classic wine and dining experience presenting the finest beef from USA, grain fed Australian lamb, farmhouse chicken and Atlantic lobster. Among the selection of appetisers are a range of platters - seafood, charcuterie and cheese, and for dessert decadent chocolate coconut layer cake with amaretto ice cream. Other signature items include Hamachi with citrus soy avocado and chilli; USDA tenderloin chateaubriand for two; and Whole ‘Angry' lobster tossed with spaghetti, tomatoes and mint.

Have a Rice Day

SML has launched the "Have a Rice Day" promotion to celebrate internationally renowned rice dishes. A choice of six famous rice dishes in three sizes: small, medium, or large are offered to diners - Baked Thai Rice with Ox Tongue, Seafood Paella, Prawn Jambalaya, Squid Ink Risotto, Baked Chilli Con Carne, Risotto of Asparagus. In addition to the rice dishes, SML is introducing more than 20 new items to the main menu.

Sensational Aged-Beef

Last week I wrote about the Steak House at Intercon introducing in-house dry-aged beef that has been aged from 14 to 35 days. I had the opportunity to try the four cuts of aged beef this week and I can highly recommend the steaks to anyone who considers themselves a steak connoisseur. The beef cuts are US Nebraska Striploin, Canadian Prime Angus Porterhouse Steak, Canadian Angus Prime Rib Steak and the decadent Japanese F1 Wagyu Beef Striploin. The cuts will be rotated each week.

The restaurant is also 'cold' smoking some cuts of the dry-aged beef over hickory resulting in a rich, smoky flavour.

Crab Dishes

Greenery

Diners joining The Royal Garden's The Greenery's dinner buffet can now enjoy a variety of crab dishes.  Chef's recommendations: Chilled Spanner Crab, Papaya Crabmeat Soup with Assorted Poached Seafood, Crabmeat Tortillas, Snow Crab Leg Rotabayaki, Crabmeat Taimaki, Baked Crabmeat and Organic Rice with Cheese, and Soft Shell Crab Tempura.

South Beach @ Post97

"Tired of not being able to find food you can eat on a diet? Or the guesswork of calculating calories that typically comes with dining out? Look no further than Post 97." Extended by popular demand, Post 97 is offering a Healthy & Balanced Diet Menu. Inspired by the Miami ‘South Beach Diet', the special diet menu lists nutritional information, along with a calorie index that provides customers the direction they need to easily find diet right, low-fat, high-nutrition meal options.

Other than healthy salads diners can also choose main dishes such as Grilled Chicken Breast, Rib-Eye, or Lamb Loin.

The Return of the Hairy Crab

Starting mid-July, The Royal Garden's Dong Lai Shun is featuring a selection of seasonal hairy crab delicacies. A specialty of Shanghai, the hairy crab is particularly sweet in mid-July to August.

Head chef Kenny Chan has devised a selection of recipes that features this seasonal delight. Recommended dishes including one that best brings out the crustacean's natural flavours: live hairy crab (steamed or baked in sea salt). Deluxe items: braised superior shark's fin soup with crab roe, stir-fried shark's fin with crab roe and braised fish maw topped with crab roe. Traditional items: braised crab roe with bean curd and sautéed hairy crab with flour cake in brown sauce. The new innovation item:  noodle with crab roe and clam in soup and light and healthy item: assorted rice with hairy crab.
