Better for drinks
Meltingpot | Aug 22 2011
The food is not bad but it is soooooooo expensive. This is a great place to bring out of town friends. Great Central "feel" and the balcony is a cool place to have drinks at night.

Horrible service, decent food, great view
Yumi | Sep 15 2010
The title sums it up nicely - the view is really beautiful and it reminds those of us who live in Hong Kong what a vibrant city it is. The food, though pricey, is not bad. The service is snobbish, slow and sometimes a little unpleasant.

Great for drinks
hippo | Aug 31 2010
And that's what Sevva is about. Packed on any weekend for drinks, the outside balcony is the best part.
The food is way too expensive for what it is - ordinary food.- How much did you spend?

To see and be seen, and not much else
Heatblast | Aug 14 2010
Let's face it... everyone is here to swirl a drink and soak in the stunning harbour view on the roof terrace. And of course, be seen amongst Central's well heeled crowd in sharp suits and designer dresses, so many Louis Vuittons that one can barely swing a cat without hitting one.
Beyond that, this place offers not much else. The service is patchy and unfriendly, at times bordering on arrogant. Food is overpriced (anyone agreeable to paying almost a king's ransom for soup and pasta certainly needs to have some serious sanity check) and the cocktails I tasted were a bit watered down.
Other than the view, there really was nothing else that impresses. I would hop on the Star Ferry to Tsim Sha Tsui instead, at a tiny fraction of the price.- How much did you spend?

The view will cost you, dear
brody | May 30 2009
The wide balcony with scattered stand-up tables for two or three offer stunning views past the HSBC building across central; there's often a live band knocking out unobtrusive music and there's nothing wrong with the drinks. Food falls more into the bar-snack category and some dishes have an interesting twist; the few mains on offer are fine but as many have commented you're paying 20-30% more than you ought to for that view. Best for a pre-dinner drink rather than a main course.

A place for relaxation
mandy | Feb 23 2009
The food is pretty good but the menu does not offer a wide range of dishes. I had the seabream and it was $380 which I personally don't think it was worth it. However, the ambience does really beat it because of its location. Being able to eat on 25th floor in Central outdoors is remarkable. I would definitely go back despite the rip-off.

Nice cutlery!
Oz | Feb 13 2009
I thought I'd try to start off with the positives. I had the burnt rice in abalone soup which was interesting but certainly not worth the $280 before service. unremarkable. The chocolate pear tart was delicious but again, not worth the $130+.
