    birthday dinner

    Jo | Aug 8 2011

所以我地叫左一個主菜lawry cut(10oz prime ribs); 另加2個starter(1隻龍蝦尾及1個芝士蟹肉釀蟹蓋), 每人叫一個湯(龍蝦湯及磨姑湯), 友人生日食到幾飽都要叫甜品啦..

    Meatlover

    JOng | Oct 11 2010

After a bargain set lunch that exceeded my expectation at Lawry's last month, a pack of us came here for dinner last week, hoping to be surprised again.

I began with the shrimp cocktail. Quite average. I can tell the shrimps are not that fresh. The spinning salad bowl was just for show; the salad itself was ok but I like the fact that it is served ice cold.

The star of the show is the Jim Brady cut prime rib. Who doesn't like a juicy piece of steak? But even for a meatlover like myself, it was difficult to finish the entire piece of meat by myself.

For dessert, we shared the apple pie a la mode - a sweet end to the meal.

The wine list is quite decent!

    Only for lunch

    KK Sims | Aug 31 2010

Very expensive for what it is, but worth it with the lunch set. Get the thickest cut to taste the beef, which is really succulent and tender. I don't care for the salad; many people enjoy the "show" but not for me.

    A big no-no

Crap décor. Why did they do this?! And what is with the stupid waitress' uniforms? The food is ok, but not that good. The only salvation is the strong list of Cali wines.

who needs veg when there is meat

    Jeremy Young | May 29 2009

Wind back the years and think of yourself in 1950's Chicago (Dick Tracy style), when meat is a signal of power and veggies are for pussies. Waitresses tip their toes when pouring salad dressing on a spinning salad bowl. Watch out for frost bite because the salad fork is chilled! If you love meat, and hate healthy veg, then come on in! Great promotional menus, can get boring, and dangerous if you visit frequently though, try to walk home to burn off some calories.

    Spinning salad

    missymelany | Mar 23 2009

the "old-school" steakhouse feel is tiresome and not appetising. delicious prime rib (I only tried the Jim Brady's cut) staff are trained a certain way that makes me uncomfortable but that is the way they do it in the usa. My son likes the spinning salad bowl.
