Not bad
Finediner | Aug 14 2011
Very pricey, and not anything special. Not bad, but really nothing particularly outstanding from our 4 set lunches.

Flawless execution

It has been a while since i last visited Kaetsu. I remember the food is pretty good, but I wasn't expecting such fantastic quality. The sushi, albeit the loosely-packed rice, was very fresh and tasted marvelous. The wagyu beef (from the wagyu dinner set) really melts in your mouth. Paired with the usual Hyatt respectful service, I willingly handed over my credit card when the bill came. Expensive, yes, but worth it.

Pricey but my word it

Authentic. Very authentic, delicious Japanese cuisine, inside a dark black interior. Their set menus are more value for money, but still quite pricey.

The oh-so-fresh sashimi...

Came here for the Sunday brunch, and was so overwhelmed by the fresh sashimi I didn't have space for anything else! Oooops! :)

Good desserts

Not my choice of Japanese restaurant at all. The dishes are usually served really slow and are tiny for the price. The best dishes are actually the desserts.
