Italian cuisine has a long and rich history and can trace its roots back to at least the 4th century. Like French cuisine its evolution has been shaped by geographical and political events. Today the cuisine can be enjoyed in almost every country and is the firm favourite of many.

Porcini at Grissini
07.09.2011
September is the beginning of the school year for many excited students, and it is also an exciting time for many connoisseurs for it marks the start of the porcini season. Porcini mushrooms are one of the most precious exports from Italy. The rich, meaty and heady mushrooms season salads and soups like no other vegetables, but also manage to stand up against more flavourful meats such as beef and guinea fowl.

Really good grissini! Very much a hotel restaurant that would go out of their way to accommodate your needs. Beautiful view and outstanding cooking.

Took my wife here for her birthday. The whole experience from the moment we entered the restaurant was superb. Attentive but not over enthusiastic service, fantastic food and pleasant atmosphere. The Lamb Loin was the best I have ever tasted, anywhere!!.

Good food and loved the Grissini (made fresh). Also felt the wine selection was excellent. Service was very good as well although agree on other reviews regarding the ambience. Good for a business dinner but not very intimate for other occasions.

OK
Good, but overrated

I have eaten there many times and the food is good overall (the grissini are excellent), but not great. At the prices they charge, and based on what it aspires to be (one of the top restaurants in Hong Kong) it comes up short. The venue is too cavernous to enable any kind of intimacy, but is fine for a business lunch. It has a very good wine list.
Best grissini in the world

Best dish here is the warm grissini, would be happy to just order a soup and have the grissini whilst enjoying the view!

This restaurant is aptly named as it has the most addictive bread sticks, yum! Ingredients are mostly from Italy, the quality of the produce lends authenticity to the food.
