The Peninsula's popular Cruise and Dine package is back, this time for almost four months. The package begins with a 45-minute Champagne harbour cruise on the refurbished Shining Star from Star Ferry.

This is followed by a three-course set dinner for two, including one glass of wine or one non-alcoholic drink per person, served in The Peninsula's Lobby. Each diner will also receive a $300 gift certificate from The Peninsula Spa by ESPA.

Priced at $988 per couple Cruise and Dine is an enjoyable evening, for both visitors and locals; it departs every evening (except for a few blackout dates) at 5.45, available until 12 March 2009. All guests staying at the hotel can enjoy the Champagne cruise with The Pen's compliments.

Cafe Deco is featuring New Zealand cuisine until the end of the month with a focus on venison, beef and lamb.

Dishes available include Cold Tea Smoked NZ Venison Loin with Blood Oranges and Blackcurrant Vinaigrette, Ragout of Lamb with Tomato Fondue and Kumara Gnocchi, and NZ Beef Fillet with Mushroom "Tarte Tatin", Parsnip Mousse and Pinot Noir Pepper Jus.

Bucking the trend for a reduction in prices Aqua is introducing its $10,000 (per person) menu in December. The Ultimate Christmas Menu includes a seven-course menu paired with exclusive wines and vintage champagnes. A full limousine service while escort guests to the restaurant who will then be ushered into their own private dining room.

The dinner begins with Australian Coffin Bay Oysters with Beluga Caviar, paired with Bollinger Grand Annee 1999 champagne. The dishes to follow will include such decadent ingredients as premium black truffle, Ise lobster, Boston lobster, foie gras, guinea fowl breast and Kobe beef. In addition, a specially selected exclusive gift for each guest is included. The promotion can also be bought as a gift with a use by date of end June 2009. Seven days advance booking is required.

Langham Place in Mongkok is celebrating Christmas by turning its al fresco terrace into an Alpine playground, glittered in free-falling snow, for the month of December.

For the third consecutive year the hotel is recreating an outdoor winter wonderland in 'The Backyard'. The snow is said to be realistic with testimonials from guests from Europe.

In-between snow showers diners can enjoy a buffet selection of lobster cooked to order, plus seafood, lamb, steak, pork, salads and desserts. The winter wonderland will operate every evening in December from 6:30pm. Monday - Thursday $378, Friday - Sunday $408, 24, 25 and 31 December $558 per person.
