Wild Rock 'Elevation' Sauvignon Blanc 2009 is from Marlborough, New Zealand, but doesn't have the bracing green herbal notes you often find in the region's sauvignon blanc. Instead, the wine smacks of passion fruit, ripe and tropical, with light herbal notes. Fresh, but not tart, this light-footed drop would partner beautifully with Yun Fu restaurant's chilled river prawns marinated with finely chopped scallion. A Silver Medal winner in the Cathay Pacific Hong Kong International Wine & Spirit competition, the wine has the backbone for the dish's herbal elements without over-riding the delicate prawn flavours.
