Sheraton Macao Hotel, Cotai Central’s launches Asian hotpot and seafood restaurant: Xin

 

Macau’s first 5-star Asian hotpot and seafood restaurant, Xin, has just opened its doors, offering Asian hotpot, fresh-from-the-tank seafood and Asian-inspired dishes to delight the palates of Asian and international guests. Located in Sheraton Macao Hotel, Cotai Central, at the heart of Macau’s entertainment hub, Cotai Strip®, Xin offers visitors an introduction to Sheraton Macao Hotel prior to the hotel’s official September 2012 opening.

Xin, literally translated as “freshness”, was inspired by a vibrant Asian seafood market. Xin offers a modern dining experience and a warm and connecting atmosphere. Guests design their own hotpot from a range of signature Asian soup bases and the extensive buffet. Tanks of fresh seafood are on display for guests to choose from, featuring lobsters and clams from around the world, jumbo abalone and much more. Additionally, Luxury Hotpot Sets offer premium ingredients like Boston lobster, Australian “master kobe” wagyu beef and Kurobuta pork belly etc.

Along with hotpot, Xin’s diverse menu also features Asian barbeque dishes and Asian delights, from salads and vegetables, to noodle and rice dishes, to clay pot rice. Chef David King has also developed a range of innovative Asian-inspired dishes to surprise and delight the palates of even the most seasoned gourmand. Guests may also select fresh-from-the-tank seafood to be cooked by the chefs “Xin” style.

Xin’s signature dishes include:
• Nyonya laksa soup
• Bossam-Korean lettuce wraps
• Pei pah baby duck with peanut and cumin powder
• Coconut cup cakes with beef cheek and tendon curry
• Roast duck and mandarin with betel leaves
• Chinese kale and baby spinach salad
• Chopped lobster and cucumber salad
• Xin ice tower
