Livin' La Vida Mongkok at The Backyard

 

The Backyard begins its culinary fest, Latino Flair, for the summer, taking an innovative step to fulfill your passion for all things Latino.

The Backyard heats things up with Executive Chef Paul McLoughlin, whipping up a variety of creative and contemporary Latin-style, gourmet eats including the house’s tropical plantain chips with a spirit-lifting sofrito sauce. Latin-lovers can tuck into plates of mini empañadas with the Chef’s secret Mojo sauce, living proof of Chef Paul’s reputable tastiness. Melt-in-your-mouth croquetas ooze Emmental cheese and are filled with chorizo, chicken and ham, and finger-licking lime scented tiger prawns on cinnamon skewers make for a tasty, visual treat. For the more adventurous, carefully crafted, tropical pizzas packed with seared tuna, avocado mousse and seafood make for a vibrant summer bite.

After a sun-soaked day, guests wanting to unwind over more Latino goodness can sip on cool artisanal tropical cocktails with organic herbs freshly reaped from The Backyard’s organic herb garden, mixed by the lounge’s resident mixologist. The classic Caipiriñha and Mai Tai are freshly muddled at the bar, and newly created cocktail Green Eyes with the favourite Midori, rum, coconut cream and pineapple juice, will shake and wake up palates.

To break free from the city crowd, head to The Backyard on Level L of Langham Place Hotel where summer’s Latino haven awaits over sounds of the summer.
