It is that time of the year again, the Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel is hosting the city's most anticipated and fun-filled event in October, celebrating its 19th on-going German Bierfest. With previous years being of great success and popularity, why not host the biggest party in town together with Oktoberfest? Double the beer, double the games, double the fun!

For those who have been asleep for the past 18 years, now is the wake up call. From 23 October to 13 November, join thousands of other party-goers at the Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel's viewing terrace overlooking Victoria Harbour for music, food, beer, dancing, and prize-winning games. Dance to The Notenhoblers, a seven-member band from Munich who will be performing traditional German tunes and madcap antics that will get you working the dance floor all night long.

Food

Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel knows the philosophy to satisfy the stomach first, and no one knows German cuisine like they do. House specialties include: Charcoal-grilled sausage with salad; Pan-fried sausages "Nürnberger" style with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes; Roast pork knuckle served with braised red cabbage and gratinated potatoes; Roast herb-marinated half chicken with carrot and potato salad; Braised beef steak in red wine vinegar sauce with braised red cabbage and spätzli; Pan-fried salmon cutlet with lemon sauce, creamy spinach and boiled new potatoes; Roast lamb leg with garlic on onion mustard sauce, braised red cabbage and gratinated potatoes; and homemade Pretzels.

And if you savour something sweet, a variety of lovely dessert awaits. Select from German Cheesecake with forest berry compote; Baked Apple Strudel with vanilla sauce; Black Forest Cake; and a Fresh Strawberry Tart with homemade ice cream.

It's not Bierfest without the Beer! Select amongst their worldwide selection of global beers. Wines, juices, and apple schnapps are also available.

It's all fun and games at the Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel's annual German Bierfest. Leave your modesty at home because a lineup of games like The ‘Strongest Man' game, ‘Milking the Cow,' ‘Pump-the-Balloon,' ‘the Chicken Dance,'  and various drinking contests are just a few of the many crowd pleasing amusements of the evening that will crack everybody up.

Five Video Contests, Five Amazing Prizes

There are chances to win big prizes in the YouTube Video Contests, "Moments@German Bierfest." From 23 October to 15 November, submit a  30 to 60 second clip on YouTube from the German Bierfest, and be eligible to win fabulous prizes. Remember, the crazier the capture, the better chances of winning.
