Rocksalt on Stanley Market Street Promenade is the newest venture by Chiram Strategic Group. Inspired by the beach area, the restaurant serves the freshest and finest seafood from around the world in a clean, modern and contemporary setting. The wine list has a full selection of best quality wine from both the old and new world. The ambiance is very relaxing and calming with a lovely view of the beach and is right beside Stanley Market.
It is best to hang out there after a long day of work (or shopping!) or on a warm sunny weekend. The service is friendly and efficient.

Culinary Team
The culinary team is headed by Australian consultant chef Timothy Maudson, who brings Sydney's famous beach area's cuisine to the city. Fresh seafood, extensive grill selections with rocksalt and creative flavours take centre stage.

The restaurant gets back to basics by offering three unique types of all-natural rock salt shavings that are specially chosen by Maudson. The natural rock salt with a grayish tinge enhances the food's flavours, the Murray River rock salt has a light peach tinge for fresh-baked bread and the fish, and lastly, ash rocksalt is a new breed that gives a smoky and clean taste and blends perfectly with all food.
Signature Dishes
Rocksalt has highlighted all its signature dishes on the menu, including starters, salads, sandwiches, pizzas to main courses of seafood and grills. Diners are welcome to experience the Aussie-inspired dishes that Maudson has to offer.
An appetiser example is Salmon and King Fish Tian with sesame ponzu, which sits on a bed of citrus soba noodles. The brilliant combination of the two varities of seasoned seafood is a refreshing start for any meal.

The Salmon Pizza is another must try starter. The thin rectangular oven-baked pizza is topped with Atlantic salmon, top grade cheese, salsa verde, rocket and bocconcini. This Italian touch is surprisingly light in taste and it is not filling at all. Ideally, it is best served right from the sizzling hot oven.
Best Seafood in Town
No one can leave the restaurant without enjoying the "one of a kind" Mixed Seafood Platter. The fresh and sweet tasting lobster, prawns and mud crab are all from Australia. The soft textured clams and scallops originate from Japan. Together with mussels and oysters, the seafood tastes as if it has just been caught. The platter even has watermelon and strawberries. In addition, there is also the Japanese, Asian Fire Water, and Tabasco with Tomato sauces for added flavour.

Another signature seafood dish that is not to be missed is the Rocksalt Baked Blue Eye Cod Filet. The ultra tender fish melts in the mouth and has a sweet finish. The dish also uses olive and rosemary oil and has baby potato salad on the side. On top of the fish is a seasonal vegetable, such as the super tender thin baby asparagus.
Mixed Carnivore Grill
If you are a meat-lover, go for the Mixed Carnivore Grill, consisting of the famous juicy and extra tender wagyu sirloin, ribeye, spiced spring chicken as well as seasoned lamb.
The combination of the top quality produce is simply irresistible with an enticing aroma.
Chef's Recommendations
Maudson highly recommends the signature Veal Rack cooked with oba ginger butter together with ginger and sesame jus if veal is your favourite.
On the sweet side, the home-made dessert Rocksalt Ice Cream ends the meal with an interesting touch and is exclusive to the restaurant.
Rocksalt offers the finest cuisine in Hong Kong, and allows diners to indulge in superb food surrounded by the beautiful setting of Stanley beach.
