Duetto Restaurant presents the best of both worlds by offering two time-honoured cuisines: The flair of southern Europe and the passion of the East; stylish Italian and vibrant Indian. An exciting new addition to the Hong Kong culinary scene, Duetto is a subtle mix of modern and contemporary design dashed with spectacular harbour views.

As the latest restaurant concept opened by the Chiram Strategic Group, Duetto brings together the cuisines that were previously offered at restaurants Viceroy and Milano. Duetto builds on the core essences of both cuisines, and takes the gastronomic experience to another level.  

Complementary Cuisines

There are now two full menus of mouthwatering dishes, giving the diner an extensive selection and ensuring that you can come back on a regular basis and still have new options. At first the menu may even seem daunting and you may wonder whether to combine the two cuisines. If so, selecting signature items from both the Indian and Italian options would be a good place to start.

For example, to begin try the signature appetiser Burrata Pugliese Su Capponata Di Verdure. Consisting of burrata cheese, a fresh mozzarella cheese that contains cream in the center, which pours forth when you cut the cheese. The combination of the two textures and temperatures, and the intensely creamy mouth feel is an experience not to be missed. It is paired perfectly with Vegetables Capponata, a grilled vegetable salad, including tomato and red pepper. The frisee is also important to the experience, with its slight bitterness it adds dimension to the cheese. A fantastically fresh way to stimulate the palate.

With its delicate flavours the Peri-Peri Prawns from the Indian appetiser selection is a complementary partner to the lightness of the above appetiser. Succulent prawns sautéed in mustard and curry leaves are served with a coconut coriander dip. They are served on a skewer and presented with a salad of tomato, red and green pepper, onion, carrot and salad leaves, which provides a fresh contrast and textural variety.

When in Italy

For those with big appetites why not try a pasta, risotto, or authentic thin-crust pizza, as the next course. Ravioli Di Borlotti, Con Pesto Alla Rucola, Pecorino E Pomodori Secchi (ravioli with Borlotti beans, rocket pesto, Pecorino cheese and sun-dried tomatoes), Risotto All' Astice (lobster risotto), Risotto Ai Funghi E Salsiccia (risotto with wild mushrooms and sausages), and Gnocchi Di Patate Con Gorgonzola E Noci (potato dumplings with Gorgonzola and walnuts), are all signatures.

There is also 14 pizzas to choose from, with a pizza to suit all tastes. Popular choices are the Duetto (pescatora and chicken tikka), the Aragosta E Carciofi (mozzarella, tomato sauce, artichoke, lobster and cherry tomatoes), and the classic Quattro Formaggi (tomato, Mozzarella, Emmental, Pecorino and Gorgonzola).

A Gastronomic Experience

Involtini Di Branzino Su Spinaci Novelli E Salsa Amatriciana (sea bass roll on baby spinach and Amatriciana sauce) is a creative Italian main that showcases the talents of the executive chef of the Italian kitchen. The delicious fish is the perfect vehicle for the lightly spicy pancetta and tomato sauce, highlighting the sauces flavour while holding its own so that its own taste shines too.

Combine this with Chingari Lobster from the Indian mains, a dish that is quickly becoming a signature due to its popularity with diners. A whole fresh Boston lobster is draped in a saffron cream sauce that has been flambéed with brandy. Brandy, cream and lobster are a dream combination, and in this case the addition of the exotic saffron takes the sensational lobster to a sophisticated level that will leave you wanting more.

For the meat lover the Tandoori Mixed Grill, an assortment of Chicken Tikka, Malai Tikka, Fish Tikka, Lamb Kebab, Tandoori King Prawn and Kangaroo Tikka, is the perfect choice. Each of the meats (and fish) has a different flavour due to the expert spicing of the executive chef of the Indian kitchen. A hearty main or appetiser for sharing.

Unique Dining

The dessert menu highlights the best desserts of the two cuisines. Not to be missed is the Carrot and Rose Flower Panna Cotta, one of the few fusion dishes on the menu. The subtle panna cotta is contrasted by the semi-sweet carrot and rose, and the crunch of the caramelised wafer. All the flavours are in seamless harmony and every bite can be a different experience depending on which parts of this creative dessert you combine together. A fitting way to end a fine meal.

Quickly becoming the talk of the town, Duetto is the only restaurant in Hong Kong that provides diners with such a uniquely delicious dining experience. 

A Flexible Space

The restaurant features an open kitchen, which is designed to showcase the authenticity of both cuisines, and where diners can see in full view the freshest ingredients being prepared for their soon-to-be superb meal.

Duetto's interiors are dressed in two tones of complementary beige and mahogany. The main dining section, named Sole, offers plenty of natural light and breath-taking harbour views from stunning glass windows. It has intimate bar seating for aperitifs and the stylish main dining room features a "Godfather Table", offering semi privacy. Sole can seat 100 people comfortably indoors and 100 people on the terrace.

An alternative smaller dining section named Luna has been designed in copper tones, offering cosy booth seating with hanging oxidised metal lamps and overlooking stonewashed walls with Roman engraved phrases. It has large windows, showing a spectacular skyline view of Causeway Bay. Luna seats 60 people.

Duetto is also the premium party venue to host corporate functions, fashion shows, family celebrations, wedding parties and dance events. Tailor-made packages are offered for Lunches, Cocktails, Dinners and Dance Events to suit everyone's budget and requirements. The restaurant offers the latest in sound and lighting systems with video walls for presentations. 

Duetto also caters to executives on a quick business lunch as well as diners who can spend the afternoon enjoying their meal. For lunch Monday to Friday, Duetto offers an express pizza or pasta for only $89 in Sole, with Italian set menus starting from $148. Or alternatively, indulge in a spiced up Indian Buffet in Luna for only $88. The buffet includes low fat tandooris, curries, balancing vegetables, healthy salads and freshly baked naan breads, complete with fresh fruit and desserts.
