Restaurant Week 2012: 20-26 February 2012

The Restaurant Week, returns to Hong Kong 20 to 26 February 2012. Organised by DiningCity, the Week gives food lovers the chance to eat at first class establishments for a fraction of the regular price. A celebration of food and wine, Restaurant Week also provides restaurants with a unique opportunity to showcase their favourite dishes to new customers and compete for the title of Best Restaurant of the Week Award.

During the Week, participating restaurants create exclusive fixed price (minimum) three course menus for lunch and/or dinner at a significantly lower price than normal. A limited number of sittings are available per day at each restaurant resulting in fierce competition for tables so the public needs to be quick. Last time, Bo Innovation sittings were fully booked in just 15 minutes. Diners can only reserve tables through the official website, www.restaurantweek.hk, which goes live 10am on 2 February 2012.

208, Ava, Azure, Al Molo, Chez Patrick, FoFo by El Willy, Glo, Indochine, Kyoto Joe, Lily & Bloom, Press Room, Spasso, Yagura, Bo Innovation and Hoi King Heen signed up for the first Week in 2011. And only the best will be invited to join again in 2012.

Restaurant Week is all about the "total dining experience". Diners will be treated like VIPs as well as given the opportunity to rate their favourite experience. It’s not just the food and the quantity of it that’s important but the service, ambiance, wine pairing, the creativity of the menu, the lighting etc - every aspect is important. This year’s categories include:
• Best Restaurant of the Week – 1st, 2nd and 3rd place
• Most Creative Menu of the Week
• Most Popular Restaurant

To keep up to date with plans for next year’s Restaurant Week, diners should register their email at http://www.diningcity.com, like our Facebook page or follow DiningCity on Twitter.
