Homemade Ice Cream Treats at Cafe, Hyatt Regency Hong Kong
Cool off with a series of enticing homemade ice cream delights this summer at Cafe. Gary Lau, Pastry Chef of the hotel, introduces a range of refreshing ice cream delicacies served to order in July and August. The ice cream delicacies are featured on a rotational basis during lunch and dinner buffets.
Indulge in one of the creative ice cream desserts Baked Sweet Potato with Ginger resembling the flavour of a popular Chinese sweet soup with surprising touches. Not only is the crispy purple sweet potato chip eye-catching, but the mashed sweet potato base also goes well with the homemade vanilla ice cream on top. Ginger syrup is added to stimulate the taste buds. Alternatively, pick the black-and-white Bean Curd and Sesame, a fantastic combination of bean curd agar, homemade sesame paste and vanilla ice cream.
Having a fruit-flavoured dessert is a good way to refresh in summer; that is why Chef Gary recommends Passion Fruit and Mango Marshmallow, where the homemade marshmallow cubes with passion fruit and mango flavours are simply delightful. Also don’t miss out on the flaky coconut tuile on top of the vanilla ice cream. For fans of mango, Mango Coupe and Mango Pancake are sure to satisfy.
Moreover, Chef Gary also presents the chocolate series, including Chocolate Brownie, Chocolate Fruit Cake, Hot Waffle with Chocolate Sauce, Blackforest and Chocolate Choux, which certainly tempts all chocolate lovers.
Last but not least, there are also other soothing ice cream treats for selection, including Chestnut and Cherries, Green Tea and Red Bean Delight, Blackcurrant Jelly, Baked Sweet Potato with Green Tea, as well as Grass Jelly and Red Bean with Coconut Milk.
Apart from the ice cream delights, Cafe offers an impressive range of international fare, delicacies include sushi and sashimi, teppanyaki and tempura, Chinese barbequed meats, dim sums, wok-fried dishes, regional Indian curries, fresh naan breads, a fine selection of grilled seafood, lamb and beef, fresh pastas and pizzas, Western antipasti as well as various kinds of mouth-watering home-made desserts and pastries.
