New World Wines on Happy Hour 2-for-1 at Chin Chin Bar

Chin Chin Bar welcomes a selection of New World wines! A free tasting event for selected New World wines will be held on 16 November from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, while a two-for-one offer on various types of selected fine New World wines will be provided daily during Happy Hour from 5:00pm to 9:00pm between16 November 2011 and 16 February 2012.

As for white wines, one of the good picks is the Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc 2010 from New Zealand. This wine is pale green in colour, with aroma of a citrus bouquet and tropical fruits backed by characteristic herbaceous notes.

Colome Torrontes 2010 from Argentina is another recommended white wine. With Torrontes being the most popular white grape in Argentina, This white wine is light and refreshing, with notes of Muscat that smell like jasmine, lemon and orange blossom.

The selected red wines offer another experience. Santa Rita Reserva Merlot 2008 is from Maipo Valley of Chile. This 2008 red wine has aruby-red colour with a bouquet dominated by fresh ripe fruits such as berries and spicy notes combined with components in the oak barrels. Medium-bodied, very silky, and well-balanced with good acidity that lends a fresh sensation. Long and pleasing on the finish.

Glen Carlou Classic Syrah 2006 from South Africa shows aromas of spicy blackberry and toasted oak leading to complex flavours of ripe berry fruit, violet and currant on the smooth palate.

Chin Chin Bar also provides a delightful selection of snacks to complement the fine New World wines.
