Advent Celebrations
Kowloon Shangri-La is observing the Western tradition with an Advent Calendar of a range of dining experiences as the festive season sets in to ensure guests a most joyous Christmas and New Year.
Cafe Kool - Guests can look forward to festive gourmet delights from 29 November to 25 December 2009 with a medley of daily Christmas specialties on the dinner buffet. The highlights include Baked Oysters; Abalone Congee; Asian-Style Steamed Garoupa; Tandoori King Prawns; Mini Angus Beef Steak; Grilled and Baked Boston Lobster; Roast Kangaroo Loin; Malay-Style Sautéed Crab; and lots more. The Advent Calendar, featuring windows for each day, will be placed in the restaurant to reveal each day’s specialty. On 25 December, guests can enjoy a Christmas buffet for both lunch and dinner, offering a compilation of all the Advent specialties. For New Year’s Eve, guests indulging in the buffet from 9 p.m. to midnight can also enjoy free-flowing Prosecco.
Angelini - Every Sunday from 29 November to 20 December 2009, Angelini presents an Advent lobster lunch menu featuring unlimited servings of Boston lobster, a buffet of authentic Italian antipasti, salads, soup and home-made desserts based on Chef Vittorio’s mama’s recipes, and a choice of the chef’s signature dishes from different regions in Italy, complemented by free-flowing Champagne. On 26 December, which is also known as Santo Stefano’s Day in Italy, Mr Stefano Bassanese, Angelini restaurant manager, proudly presents a lunch buffet with free-flowing Champagne to celebrate this special occasion. During dinner guests can enjoy a complimentary glass of wine, chosen specially by Mr Stefano Bassanese to accompany each course ordered.
Lobby Lounge - Every Saturday and Sunday from 29 November to 20 December 2009, guests of The Lobby Lounge can indulge in the festive afternoon tea buffet, offering the season’s favourites, overlooking Victoria Harbour. In celebration of Saint Stephen’s Day on 26 December, guests can relish a lunch buffet with free-flowing Rosé Champagne. On 1 January 2010, guests can enjoy a Deluxe Champagne Brunch featuring caviar and foie gras with free-flowing Rosé Champagne.
Tapas Bar - Every Thursday and Sunday from 3 to 24 December, guests will also receive a complimentary second bottle when they buy one bottle of Champagne. In celebration of St Nicholas Day on 8 December, guests can enjoy free-flowing Champagne along with a pass-around of canapés and a 10g portion of caviar.
