As a publication that highlights the celebrated food scene in Hong Kong, it is important that we show our support to our industry friends. However, with the current pandemic climate and looming third wave, everyone’s safety is still our priority. Thanks to the increasing number of delivery platforms in the city, here are ways you can still show some love to your favourite restaurants.

One that needs no introduction, Deliveroo allows diners to choose from any of the restaurants they carry based on the user’s location and preferences on delivery time and cuisine. Right at the comfort of your own home, you can order from your favourite restaurant nearby or possibly try out someplace new! Plus, the platform allows you to make note of any dietary restrictions you may have.

Uber Eats

Launched by one of the biggest ride-hailing services in the world Uber, Uber Eats allows for contactless delivery any time of the day. Thought the selection may be limited, the online platform is still teeming with eateries and Uber Eats-exclusive restaurants of different cuisines perfect for a cosy day or night in. On top of that, just like its parent company, diners can track their food by the minute.

If local Cantonese fare is more your cuppa tea, have traditional Hong Kong-style plates delivered straight to your doorstep thanks to Foodpanda. Carrying a selection of local and (possible!) hidden gems, you can now have your cha chaan teng fix minus the charm. Here you will also find some more popular chains, diners and restaurants if you’re not feeling the local food scene.

JIA Everywhere

One of the latest F&B outlets to offer delivery, the award-winning stable JIA Group has introduced its new in-house service, JIA Everywhere. True to its name, the online catering initiative offers an array of delivery-exclusive tailored meals from JIA faves such as Old Bailey, Duddell’s and Chachawan to name a few. And by ‘Everywhere’, JIA is not playing around as they are also extending delivery offers across Kowloon and the New Territories. No excuses to get your fix, people!

Black Sheep GO

Show some love to any (or all!) of your favourite Black Sheep restaurants thanks to their dedicated delivery app, Go. Offering delivery services from Kennedy Town to Tai Hang, tuck into signature delights such as steak and frites from La Vache, a comforting Neapolitan pizza from Motorino or even India’s greatest hits thanks to Uncle Desi.

Meraki at Home

From the same crew that brought us highly-acclaimed Uma Nota, BEDU and the newly-opened MAMMA ALWAYS SAID, Meraki Hospitality Group introduces Meraki at Home. Here to bring us comfort with their signature and mouth-watering eats and sips, you can now enjoy any of Meraki’s restaurants for lunch and dinner at the safety of your own home.
